It's Just a Tank

I’ve read that nitrates can take awhile to dose up so I was curious what you used. I might have to dose them if I can’t get them up with feeding more. Phosphates are easier if you have reef roids handy
I've got a big old bag of sodium nitrate that I will never get through if you need some. I have to dose it to my nem tank

Have you gotten the eel? I bet Having to feed and clean after one will bump your nitrates up a bit.
Not yet. I need to go to the lfs and ask if he can get one or 2 in before I buy online. I haven't decided if I want 1 or 2. If I go with 2, both need to be introduced at same time.

Powerplant side.

Toying around with the idea of a separate cube fuge here to the left.

I keep PO4 low with gfo, but water changes only go so far with a massive fish load.

Vecton USA for the win my guy nice. I can see the upgrade potential here. Standalone fuge to the left, ats above the current fuge or a fatty skimmer where the fudge is and a bio pellet reactor where the old skimmer is….. but your tank is looking stout dude, any nutrient changes could impact that

Mine's a small bottle but a tiny bit goes a long way.

Hopefully they pair up if you get two. I would go for two also to double your odds of keeping one long term

I’d be happy to take a pinch of it, to have on hand just in case.

Bio reactor sits behind the skimmer already although to be quite honest, I'm not sure it does much.

Initial Thought was to reroute the secondary drain from the main tank, into the stand alone fuge, and just plumb through the glass to dump back into the sump in the filter sock compartment. There's plenty of room.

Got that vecton from @sp1187 on a steal. It's a great unit.

Filter sock can't be that good.
Haha no but chaeto is putting in work! I’m impressed your able to feed as much as you do and maintain uln. I suspect it will level out as you add/grow more pets. Your not overdoing it anywhere that I can tell.

I wonder if the starfish is that good of a cleaner. Maybe explains my bristle worm population as well. I don't think they would keep numbers low.

Dang so you already have bio pellets goin? How long has it been active? It took mine a few months to get started and about half a year to add more media now I can legit see the media being consumed every month
