I doubt I'm better. Just cause I have kept saltwater for more years than i remember means nothing.
Reefing comes down to tests, keeping water topped off, being able to address a nuisance (pests, algae, equipment malfunctions, personal health. You get the idea.. i hope.) and not giving up. Keeping any form of aquatic life will put people under extreme pressure. Recovering is always the battle.
Once things are stable, it's all about them tests and not using expired kits.
I've been tempted on shutting this system down due to having my c section. My husband..... He's an amazing man. He saw, and kicked me right in the motivator. I wish I took pictures again if the state that had befallen my system. I felt lifeless, and careless. I saw the death and was ready to let go.
For over 3 months i hadnt done anything. I barely kept the water topped off. We're talking 5 to seven gallon loss before water was topped. My hysband would ask "whys the tank making that sound". I'm guessing that was causing swings an let dinos kick in.
Im not kidding when i say, I'm amazed my fish didn't die. This last pregnancy was difficult, painful, and I'm hoping to keep going. Currently, I'm the obstacle.
