It's Just a Tank

If you do get a Molly tank it is very important that you have a happy filter.

Well you can hardly be blamed for that. Would be a scandal if you didn't rescue that poor animal.

Last night i forgot to add a sump sock. Took off the dirty sock. Went to tuck baby in bed. Played with the older son. So ended up completely distracted.

@Slocke Was talking about filters in another dino thread, to sum it up.

We're filtering out our friends.

I woke up to see 0 dinos. I'll be sockless and see where we go from here. I'll probably add a sock after snow days.

Tldr; stuff.

They are removing our beneficial bacteria. There is some truth to it. knowing the balance of when to use filters vs when to let things be is a hard thing to figure out.

Even the potting material?
I have removed everything yes. You can use the gravel to bury the roots in tie the plant to a weight like driftwood or a rock with some fishing line.

yep. it's usually rock wool and they may pack it with fertilizer. I've heard of some brushing everything out of the roots, I'm not that diligent though.
I always just rinsed the roots.
