Hey guys !! It's a sad day for me I've decided to remove all of my current fish out of my aquarium most of them of been with me for more than five years! No matter what I do I can't seem to add any new fish to my aquarium.. I have wasted hundreds of dollars adding new fish that always seem to die!!! I can't figure out who's killing them but they rarely make it more than a day!! I have 1 blue damsel , 2 clowns "pair" , 1 pigmy cherub and 1 purple dottyback. Just added 5 evansi anthias, 1 geometric pigmy perchlett and one lubbocks wrasse !!! And can only find 1 of the anthias!!!
I'm over it!!! I love my fish but really want to add new ones too

Man that a nice tank!

Yeah I can see why that would be cool. All I see in mind is corals moving from flow haha

My guess is either the damsel or dottyback. Maybe clowns but I doubt it. Beautiful tank :-)

Do you quarantine them? You have some aggressive fish in there actually. That cherub Angel could very well be responsible. That's one of the most aggressive fish I've ever had. The one I had was relentless. After him, the blue damsel I'm sure will also give chases to any new arrivals especially if they go near his territory. Then the dottyback, same thing. And the clowns will also not let anyone near their territory. So where exactly is a new fish supposed to hide in there? That said, I kind of doubt that these fish would kill off new arrivals within a day. But I guess that is a possibility. Although I would think you would be able to see that going on.

Maybe you have a Mantis shrimp somewhere? Have you tried any tangs? I would think a tang would hold its own no problem.

No I don't think I want to add tangs to my aquarium I have zero algae and don't want to add any LOL water prerameters are perfect and I would like to keep them that way and you're right I do have a bunch of aggressive fish and I'm having a hard time parting with them. All of them of been with me for five or so years minus the dottyback !! Yes I've seen the damsel and the angel chase the other fish around actually the dottyback in the angel get into some pretty serious fights. But that dang five dollar damsel was the first fish ever put in my nano when I very first started in 09

Thanks tiggereef it's my dream tank -250 gallons LOL working at the LFS has afforded me the opportunity to afford everything all the equipment

+1 on the quarantine of your new fish. I would for sure remove the damsel, but I have a thing against them in general.

Does nobody like these fish? Lol

My personal feelings on them are that there are far too many more beautiful fish out there to be wasting space in my tank on a small, aggressive little punk. Geeze, that sounds awful doesn't it? I'm not a fan of damsels in general, but I think i hide it well. lol

Hahaha! That was pretty bad lol.

How the heck did you catch all of them is my question! I have 2 damsels and they are impossible to catch when they hide in between the rocks. Or any if my fish in general

That's gonna be a major pita trying to catch those guys with all that rock and swimming space. Going to have to setup some kind of fish trap to get them and a lot of patience.. Ps damsel aka the devil fish, I hate them, made the mistake and learnt the very hard way in the beginning and never ever again.. I concur with melypr1985 on this one [emoji85]
