I've had it!!!!

I personally use Crystal Sea Marine Mix. I love it and most importantly to me my corals love it! Trust me you will love it! I haven't had any issues what soever with it and I couldn't see myself using anything else.

I used it all . Brightwell, left some brown residue - the lid was to hard to open....esv, love it - pain in the butt to mix/calculate/add the 4 part components...aquavitro, brown residue..using rc now, into my 7th bucket, no problems yet.

Those of you using the AquaVitro, what is it that you love about it?

Maybe the brown has something to do with using a powerhead to mix the water...

Yes, I have read that using a high flow pump with Reef Crystals does cause the brown to be worse than a slower pump. However, I use a Mag 7 myself to mix and really don't have much of a problem

Been very happy with RC, no issues. For me aquavitro had a a lot of calcium precipitation and cost more money

I have used almost every salt there is, and all differ from bucket to bucket
Always double check the params before introducing it in the aquarium, seen some crazy numbers before on certain salts

ESV here. Had similar issues with RC and that motivated the move. Plus, with the ESV, I have mixed it, let it mix for another 10-15 minutes, then did a WC and had no issues or reactions from any of the livestock.

Ive used D&D H2Ocean and loved it but getting it locally was an issue. In my new tank I've used the Red sea coral pro and have had no issues.

I use Reef Crystals and think it is a great salt that has been very consistent for me over the years. You're going to have some precipitate and crud no matter which salt you use.

Doug, DA will be carrying the Bio-Actif Salt 200G buckets. Contact Jay

I'm going to experiment a little bit and maybe use a smaller pump to mix it, will also add an airline to see if that helps.

FWIW I have been using an airstone when I'm mixing new water. Not sure if it helps but it makes me feel like I'm helping out by pumping oxygen into the water.

I've been using Tropic Marin Bio-Actif, I am pretty impressed with it but it DARN expensive.

I switched from Tropic Marin Pro Reef to Reef Crystals a year or so ago. I had it with TMPR after the last few buckets had salt "mix" as solid as a brick. Between that and the low Mag levels, I was done. I could no longer justify paying nearly twice as much for a brick I had to chisel apart, and still have to dose Mag.

+1 on the Red sea coral pro, used it for over a year and couldn't be happier

I'm old school I guess, I use Tropic Marin standard salt mix. No problems ever. I think it might save money to buy big buckets, but I bet smaller bags will be more consistent as far as results.
