Iwaki magnet pump

Yes, I googled before creating a thread. I still don't really understand what I'm looking at. It doesn't seem salt water relevant, but it's a pump. This large a pump is used just to dose?

It might make a great media reactor pump. They're awesome pumps for the right scenario. I'd keep it for $15.

Station... as in if I don't have RO/storage? Or instead of a filter in the bin?

^ I'm new to the hobby I've learned a lot but not all bases have been covered.

Also are you in freshwater? I have the below. How is it different from a return pump?

Iwaki makes great pumps, the one you have is not used very much but is still a great pump, I would also get in line and buy it, but you should use it.

Take the pump to a local HD store and try to find what fits on it, get someone to help and tell them what you are doing, because you may want to use soft tubing so you will need an adapter. Depending on what type of reactor and what you keep in it you will probably need a valve to control the water flow and Iwaki pumps are not bothered by that at all, they are 20 year pump with little to no maintenance, I have a Iwaki Japanese 30 pressure pump for my return on my 120 works great it heats my water in the winter so I need a half the heaters on my tank.

Soft tubing... Can I send you screenshots of all tubing I still have? I discarded lots of things I should not have. I expect to hear all my tubing is for CO2. Least I will know.

You referring to the tubing in the Lowe's plumbing department. HD is hardware store?

Are you asking if the Iwaki pump is good for a return pump? The specs on it look like a small pump not capable of turning over much water if so (i'm not terribly familiar with this make of pump). I guess it depends on the size of the tank. I'm also not sure if that model is submersible for inside a sump or if it would have to be plumbed externally. The vinyl tubing pictured looks to be 5/8" and the pump has a 1/2" barb hose connection.

What pump do you recommend for a 50? I have a brand called jayro in my notebook, but I recall it was one of the $$$ ones.

That Iwaki you have is $125 retail, btw. The pump in the link is $60 and will probably be more in line with what you need. I assume you are plumbing your tank with a sump/refugium?
