Jack's Grotto (an update) LPS Dominated !!!!

The tank just needs to stabilize. Can you post your tank parameters? Also, what is your lighting schedule?

It would be helpful to post up your water parameters when asking for help.I would suggest not adding more fish at this time. You plate looks like it may have got too much direct light, causing the white appearance. It also looks like a neighboring plate coral climbed right on top of it.This could have started a problem as well. The black areas are most likely dead and in my experience these corals can be very difficult to bring back. You could try a brief dip and move it back into the tank and hope for the best. The recovery could take months so be patient, best of luck!

Agreed with the above posts, slow down and post your parameters so we can better help you. And your build thread is very nice looking!

Nothing good happens fast in this hobbie. I wouldn't add anything more for about 3 more months, let your system catch-up and become more mature. It takes about 6 months or so for a system to fully cycle through the alge stages.

Thank you all very much ...
noted.. I will not be adding any fishes for next 3-4 months now.... have orderd a pair of black clown so if it comes down will add that...

regarding the details of water parameters it is as follows...
Salinity 1.024-1.025
Alk 8
Calcium 400 ppm
temperature 25 Celcius
phos 0.002-0.003
Nitrate and Nitrite both not traceable...

For my lightning schedule i use Zetlight 2 pcs
The tank is in parking so gets natural light (indirect)
As far as my lightning schedule
Dawn 11:00 for 45 Mins
Sunrise 45 Mins
Sun light (full light) 5 hours
Sun Set 1 hours
Full Blue light 1.5 hours
Moon Light full night..

What would be cleanup crew that you guys suggest for this big tank ??

The only thing that we usually get here is
Turbos, Shrimps, Nasarrius snails, Nirate Snails

You'd want to get hermits of some kind

Here i dont get crabs very easily. I have 1 red hermit (which gets too bit) and 1 blue leg hermit crab.

Where is here if you don't mind me asking?

@Shep i would not like to disclose the place on public forum ... Reason being corals are big NO here .....

@kireek i have uploaded the video of the frogspawn .... Please have a look on page 2

I apologize,I meant the Torch coral. You mentioned it was melting day by day.Your video was great, nice progression shots!

Yes torch is melting ..... They are all good but one fine day one branch decides to go bad and within 24 hours that particular beanch is gone .....

Thank you very much for appericiating my videos ....

Well it's really hard to say without a picture, your different species of euphyilla maybe stinging each other or it could be Brown slime disease.

It must be brown slime disease ..... How to control it ?? Once any head starts getting bad i will post the picture for the same....

...yea kill it with fire, BJD is a pain to deal with. Start a QT tank if you can.
