I like Aiptasia and Majanos. I have no Majanos right now. But I do have Aiptasia......In a jar with 1 white and 1 blue led in the lid. Was one little guy about 3 weeks ago, half a cup of old water from one of my DT's to do a water change on the jar a week, and a little reef roids is all that is needed for a nice colony. Just make sure no cross contamination from jar to DTs lol.
Makes a great conversation piece on my desk at the office.

Update: I have not seen any pods in the jars lately the aiptasia is doing great so are the bristle worms. Any suggestions on what to add next. Also any suggestions on a better light. I am using a little reading light right now.

This is a great thread, but not too many people get excited about finding aiptasia in their main tank! ...just sayin’

Just thought I'd update you. Nothing to interesting has happend although the species list is a little different.
It includes:

• Isopods (lots)
• Aipastia anemones (they have reproduced)
• Flatworms
• Bristle worms
• The occasional tisbepod

I want to add something a little more active. Any ideas?

I just counted and I have 8 aiptasia in one jar. There is also a hitchhiker that looks sort of like a mini spaghetti worm.
I will get some pictures later.

You could add a grass shrimp. They are hardy and it would fit both the vibe and color scheme of the setup.

Thanks for sharing the update! You may look into getting a macro lens for your phone camera - there are a lot of options for whatever type of phone that you have and, although the depth of field is very narrow, you can really get up close clearly.
