Jason Fox Blood Shot Zoo's

ben, did you get brians small colony? the one i had was doing great...then i decided to move it to a different tank, and it responded by closing up and melting on me.

Yep :)

Sorry about the loss :( i can get you a polyp once it grows out some more.

Maybe I can help out. At MACNA they were going for $50.00 a polyp, and at WWC on Sat and Sun they only had a few left, but were selling for $40.00 a poylp. The name Bloodshots is the name Jason gave them. The original name is Cornbreds Watermelon Paly. And they are sold on Ebay, and close to the same prices. Take care

I have never heard the name clockwork. I would have to say no. However reading on ebay, he refers to people calling them "Backward CLOCK palys." But to me that is a terrible name. At MACNA they were being sold at two booths, right next to each other, and one on the left called them blooshot, and on the right was watermelon paly. The booth on the right was representing Cornbreds ie. trash mummy eye..... As well as the Watermelon. He sells them on ebay, and will probally be the only place to get them, or through a fellow hobbyist. There seems to be a big demand for them now since MACNA. Take care

They are pretty cool palys.
I just cut a bunch of stuff up, these included. So if anyone is looking for a frag, hit me up. They were cut ~ 2 weeks ago, so they should be fully healed in a week or two. (I don't like shipping anything without a month or so heal time)

Sent you a PM, I am also in MD.

This is weird ?Because at MACNA they were HOT !Yet they seem to be around a little while now.Glad to see folks spread the wealth around. The one sponsor said he sells them of Ebay for 150 a polyp.I knew that was BS........But Ebay anything is possible as we know.......I know the guys here on this thread won't be asking that price. But this exhibit they had, really turn me off.I know I will never buy from them. It was their attitude.

Does anybody have a picture of several of these? I can never really register on one or two polyps. I want to see what a colony would look like.

Very hardy, but grow very slow in my tank under LED. I finally see two babys after 3 months!

Not a colony but here is a recent pick of some I was selling. Just a flash shot however

I picked up a frag of them at MACNA. A few of my guys also grabed frags of them. Glad I got them when I did. They were sold out halfway through the first day.

Sorry about that.
So what made these so popular NOW at MACNA?When they already been in the hobby?Maybe folks just forgot they were around?

Honestly, I never heard of them before MACNA. We were a vendor there and got to setup on Wednesday. We made a quick trip around all the vendors and these Palys were the only polyps that caught our eye. I had no idea they were going to be 50.00 per polyp. I just knew I had to have one, and it was going to be the first thing I bought.

Randy,
You might not remember me.Yea I saw those you had them sitting at the back of your tank.I was standing there with my tongue out.......You said to me SOLD!!!!!!!!!

I know these as Watermelon palys. They grow pretty good for me. Right now I have a mini colony going. They are one of the best looking palys i've seen. Here's an old pic.

Hey Ricordea,
Unfortunately, we had to say that a lot over the 3 days of MACNA.
