Any Jason Fox flame owners or SPS gurus, is my Jason Fox flame going through STN or RTN or new growth (which I doubt, but I could be wrong)
I just noticed today that some of the yellow tips have turned white, refer to picture.

It was in a spot of my tank that was receiving kind of direct cross flow from return and wave maker and par values of 350-400ish.

Tank parameters currently
Ph 7.8
Nitrate 0-0.10 ppm
Phosphate-.25
Calcium-470
Dkh-10.1
Magnesium +\-1500
Salinity .025

1st picture when I got it
2nd picture current

Need advice and help

On a side note: now that I am staring the crap in my tank, the Jason Fox was next to my Millie Acro frag and just noticed that it’s white tenicles is long enough to have maybe touched the tips of the Fox and stung it?

Well the base of the FF looks really bad, if you hadn't noticed (first pic). Your alk may be too high for your tank and N and P levels too; could be tip burn

It's a pretty hardy coral and seems to do well in most locations. If the new spot doesn't help I'd look into lowering your alkalinity. There's not really any good reason to keep it that high

Thanks for the reply.
The phosphate was probably close to zero as I naturally round up. It wasn’t a true .25 that’s for sure. As well as my nitrate was super close to zero.

I do have a phosban tractor to control phosphates.

I just did a water change and took measures an hour after.

Also, the first pic was the day I got it from an online order. That’s how it exactly looked like from day 1.

I snipped the white tips and set it lower in the tank

I agree with the others, your ALK is high for your NO3 level. Your PO4 seems high compared to your NO3 as well.

I wouldn't snip it any more. If it is stressed, cutting it won't make it better.

Will try lowering my alk and see if that’ll help. I do have other more expensive SPS in my tank and I want to make sure they’ll be okay.

Should I dose white vinegar daily until I reach a desired range? And what what that be 8-9?

Does having high alk stunt growth of SPS, if so then that’s one issue I need correction fast

Are you dosing to maintain your Alk and Calc? If so, just reduce the amount you dose daily and let the Alk slowly fall.

Higher Alk actually promotes growth. However, with that accelerated growth, you need higher nutrients in you tank. With lower nutrient levels, it is generally accepted to keep Alk lower. IMO, an Alk from 7.5-8.5 and a Calc from 400-450 is pretty safe for almost every coral you would have.

As others have mentioned, your Nitrate is far too low for high Alk. One problem I see is your Nitrate/Phosphate are out of wack. You generally either want both high, or both low. I consider mine low and run 5 Nitrate with 0.05 Phosphate. .25 is super high! With my levels I keep my Alk around 7.5. I also feel your salinity is a little low, I run 1.0264 (natural sea water).

One big question I haven't seen asked is, what's the age of the tank? It sounds new and perhaps you're still working on balancing everything out? I would probably recommend against adding any more acros until you achieve balance.

Age of tank: 3 yrs old
Before my water change which was a day ago my nitrate was high like around 30ppm
After water change: nitrate close to zero.

I do however dose no3pox 2ml every three days since I had high levels 2-3 mos ago.

did you do a 100% water change or multiples? I think your testing may be off.

Water changes weekly, phosban reactor running and dose no3pox every 3 days, amino acids daily

Agree with @SeaDweller, unless you did a 100% water change, your NO3 wouldn't have gone from 30ppm before the change to 0ppm after the change.

You didn't mention if you dose anything for Alk or Calc.

If you are dosing to raise nutrients, stop the NoPoX. You are working against yourself by adding NO3 and then dosing something to remove it.

I don’t dose for alk/calf due to the fact that I do weekly water changes. Should I? Kalkwasser?

Maybe my test kit is bad, I should get another one and test again

At your levels, you don't need to start dosing anything for Alk or Calc.

Unless you are willing to change to a salt mix that mixes at lower levels, I would concentrate on raising your nutrients. Stop the NoPoX for now and let the NO3 go up a bit. With you PO4 level, a NO3 as high as 25ppm wouldn't be bad, IMO.
