Jaygalindo's Rimless Nano in 90

Ok so I was able to get a good enough deal on the Picasso clownfish pair at my local petco. I am hoping a good diet and better water quality will help bring the color of these guys back...

Added two nice sized pieces of live rock today. I wanted to get my shelf piece off the bottom of the tank. This seemed to do the job. I also added a cuc consisting of 2 big turbo snails now that the diatoms and algae have set in. They are already doin work! Finally my picassos made it through their first night in their new home...barely. The were doing fine until the lights shut off. Luckily I was in bed watching them. I noticed on was not well, swimming fast back and fourth. Then I heard him jump. I was able to find him and toss him back in.

Rockscape is looking good. Happy to hear you where able to advoid a misfortune with the clown, hopefully as they become more comfortable they will start to setttle into the tank more.

Yeah I am sure they will be fine. I can already tell a difference in their breathing and one of the clowns is already starting to show some improvement in color

Thanks for the nice words! I look forward to start coral shopping in a couple of weeks. I don't think I want to take on the challenge of having bubble tip anemones in such a small tank. I will start a search for a large soft coral colony that the clowns can host. I already have a few ideas.

Well both fish were eating at petco before I took them home. Once I got them home they stopped. Ive tried flake pellet and frozen. Ultimately the both did not make it. So now I decided to keep this tank fishless. I have always wanted to do an sps dominate tank. Without fish I wont need a skimmer. I'll dose brightwell nanocode 2 part and try to go SPS!

My wife and I will be celebrating our 5th anniversary this Saturday. She asked for a kindle fire so I asked for the Vortech MP10 that I want so bad. We shall keep fingers crossed!

Sorry to hear that the fish did not make it. Congrats on your upcoming anniversary and good luck on getting the m10s :)

It's always difficult to explain to my girls what happens to fish when they die. This time I told them the snails ate them and now they don't like the snails and want me to take them out lol

Good choices from both of you. So sorry to hear about the clowns. Your tank looks great in your latest FTS and we're looking forward to seeing some STICKS in there.

Just ran the first series of tests on water parameters...
Temp 79*
Sg 1.025
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 0
Ph 8.5
Alk 240 ppm (high)
Calcium 460 ppm (tad high)
Using API test kits

I couldn't help myself. Being an ex zoa and paly collector and I have to win enough to cover $35 shipping I am now picking off the zoas. Besides I need to fill in the bottom of tank...

Darn, I have gone 0-5 since my first zoa win. They are a lot tougher to win than sps. But I have helped out mr coral make more on his auctions...
