Jays 40br build thread

Reworked the scape a little bit. Not the clearest pic still waiting for the sand storm to settle down. Ammonia and nitrites back to zero from 3ppm after 24 hours again today!

Just got a new addition for my build. Trigger systems crystal 36 sump. Really well built! Making new salt water now for a really big end of cycle water change and will get this thing wet soon! Also have some bids in on reef pets auction so hopefully some corals in the tank and some fish next week!

Here are some pics of the first additions to the tank! It's alive finally! They have only been in the tank a few minutes and are opening up so fast! Thanks reefpets for the awesome corals!

Looking great!

The stuff in the last pic is the remains of a sponge, I would siphon it out and get rid of it. It'll just make your cycle last longer if you don't.
Some sponges are quite attractive and I would love to have them in my tank. In fact that is the reason I've been thinking of getting TBS liverock. They are known to have a lot of sponge in their rock.

Well I participated in my first 24 hour live sale last weekend! What a blast!! The FedEx guy dropped some stuff off today from that sale and they are all happily adjusting to their new home! Will get some pics of all the wwc goodness later on.
