Here are some fairly terrible cell phone pics of the rock in the tank. Not aquascaped just through it in for now because I am beat and need some sleep!

So 5 days into the process and my ammonia is at 4 ppm, Nitrite is 2ppm and nitrates have been a steady 5ppm. I pulled the shrimp out tonight. Also noticed what I think was a giant majano the slowly worked its way out of a nice size hole in one of my new pieces of LR. I pulled the rock broke it up inot pieces and removed the majano.

Here is a pick of the pest!

So tried getting some good shots to show how awesome the razor is but its hard to get the right color representation on my camera. I tried a few settings but tomorrow I will get my tripod setup and try to do better with my dslr. Here are a few samples!

Here is a close up of the LR that I just got. This stuff is so nice!

Looking great!

The stuff in the last pic is the remains of a sponge, I would siphon it out and get rid of it. It'll just make your cycle last longer if you don't.

Thanks! I'll scrape it off the rock right away.

Looks good! I think you could have gone with half that amount of rock and been fine (or less than half). Watch how you stack the rock as it casts shadows which tends to be a bigger issue with leds.

Thanks Chaz! It isn't aquascaped right now. I kind of just tossed the live rock in. My plan was to add the live rock for the cycle and then pull some rock out and fix the scape.

So my ammonia and nitrites are off the charts and today my nitrates went up to 30 from 10 on Saturday. Think my rock had a lot of die off but other than that the cycle is moving along nicely!

How are those knights working out? I've been looking into upgrading

Lights? I don't have anything to measure growth in the tank but they look really nice both in design and light quality.

Tank is looking great!

Thanks! So ammonia is 0 but nitrites are still really high. Should I feed the tank ammonia until those drop?

Feed ammonia and test 24 hours after, you want it to process ammonia back to 0 in 24hrs.

I have been feeding 2ppm of ammonia for the past few days and getting 0ppm within 24 hours so that part of the cycle is done! Just waiting for nitrites to drop now!

Also found some cool life in the tank last night. Found a hermit crab and some snails. Also found what looks like a lobster or shrimp with one claw. Its about a half inch long and its body is kind of a translucent milky white color. It has a greenish claw for its left arm and he is really fast so no pic. It swam out of the rock work when I was cleaning the glass. He was swimming around the scraper checking it out. Couldn't get a pic because I forgot my phone upstairs and by the time I got back he was gone.

Okay after dosing ammonia to 2ppm yesterday this morning I woke up to 0 Nitrites and 0 ammonia! Getting close! I am going to continue to dose and test every 24 hours through the weekend and maybe add a cuc and fish on Monday as long as everything stays stable. I will keep you posted!
