JBJ 20 gallon AIO reef tank

I really need to get a meter and test my par. I have no idea what it’s at. I’m beginning to think it might be really too low for Acropora.
judging by your 600 at the top I wonder if mine is even hitting 250 ?!
I think I meant to post that on James’ thread. Ha!

Doesn't matter I check all of these that I know :)
I am going to say, since it is fresh out of the box. Those are fresh numbers. Wonder if it will be consistent throughout the year.

LEDs do degrade some but not like t5 or halides so I would think it would be minor?
excuse my ignorance but is this light led strips or pods?

I'm not the brightest tool in the shed either.
I'm not sure what these are called. Pods?

Also I remember testing par on my AI prime levels all set you 100 and at the top of my scape I was getting 180-200 never about 2 now my par around the tank is like 50-180

Right! I remember you doing that!
If mine is the same that’s definitely too low for what I need. Seems to be perfect for my euphyllia and softies though.

I want to back up these lights and say they are worth it. Noopsyche seems to have been with r2r since 2018?
If a product is flawed, would you give them away for free for people to review?
There are a hundred of questions I have. But, most people do not give long term reviews of items they have. So also with the k3 being the new dog in the light department. There is only entry level reviews and no long term ones.

BTW I never seen my hammers so happy when I had the lights at 50%. THEY WERE HAPPY! The extension they were giving omg... I can finally get the gold tips to show.

Edit: The goniopora absolutely love the lights.

Every goniopora seems to act different. Some like low par, others blasted. Same applies to flow, some like low flow, others will thrive next to an acropora.

There also big baby’s everytime I feed phyto they do peak out

I don’t have a skimmer I wanna bump up nitrates to about 10 there at a 5 . But if they don’t go up I’ll just leave it at 5 but now I have to lower phosphate
Was gonna suggest lanthium chloride but idk how to dose without skimmer , I would recommend some GFO to lower phosphate put in filter
