Can someone give me the height of the water level in the middle chamber? I have rebuild the back filter cavities as the used tank i bought doesnt have it anymore.
Thanks!

The water level in the back chamber is what you want it to be at. It’s your return chamber. My suggestion is to have it about halfway up the return nozzles
What ATO will you be using on it

Yeah like Bob said, the cent chamber can be whatever you want it to be. I keep mine a littler higher due to "waterfall" sound it makes.

Also, are you saying the previous owner removed the sump area?

Yes i bought the tank for 100 and sump removed. Im not drilling or using an overflow box. Already mapped it out. The manufacture was no help at all seeing if I could purchase the pieces. should be great once completed

All the back pieces are glass except for the false front. Which is either acrylic. If I had the gumption ( or the courage to) completely remove mine I give them to you as I did add a overflow and sump to mine.
I still have a back area, water still is back there but it only goes in from the tank
Also realize the false back has three small holes close to the bottom. One in each of the outside baskets and one in the middle if you want to add it

Heck yeah, I'm looking froward to seeing you get the sump back in order.

So the back wall is black acrylic (I think) and the sump area is constructed a little odd. Got this from the MFG a while back maybe it will be of some help. I did a full 3D model of the tank before hand just cant find it at the moment. Hope this helps for now. I you need photos or measurements I'll do my best to help out.

Holy crap! That's what i was looking for. Jbj gave no response to me. Awesome thank you

No worries, like I said the rear sump is put together funky. I'll see if I can get a few photos of the sump for you when I get home.

You got to remember the baskets are shaped weird. There is outside glass ( if you want I can’t take measurement for you. But they are a box they go down all the way and one side opens into the next basket where is smaller then the outside basket so the water overflows into the return

Yes seeing a few pics online it shows the chambers. I'm curious as to why they don't go all the way to the bottom and leave like an 1" under them. Any benefit? How do you clean that out cause I'm sure detrius builds up big time. I plan to make 2 panels that include the bottom on both sides. Then the middle chamber will house the usual pump. I had a BC 29 years ago and had a Sapphire skimmer in there. I'm wondering if I can mod it to fit one side.. hmmm

Here’s a few pictures of the sump, maybe it will help. If you need extra measurements let me know.

I’m thinking the extra on the bottom is for the return pump/s. This way the pump has the total volume to pull from and not run that section dry. If anyone one else wants to correct me please do.

As for cleaning it, I just suck it out when I do pump maintenance.

Also, if you haven’t gotten a wave pump yet I’d suggest the getting one of the gyre style pumps. Icecap now has a 1k model that’s a good price.

I know I’m jumping on a different subject.

No detritus doesn’t get under the baskets because water doesn’t get there either.
Heres the manual
