JCOLE's Big Box of Rocks

BC RAINBOW BRITE 2 (1 of 1).JPG
NICE!!

What's the name of these couple pics?

The milli is just a random mariculture piece I picked up 6 months ago and the other is either the BC Rainbow Brite or BC Rainbow Melon-Teni. I mixed them up and can't remember. :rolleyes:Looking at Adam's site I think it is the Rainbow Melon-Teni because of the green skin and pink coralites. I almost lost that one during my crash a year ago. It is finally coming around and starting to grow and color up. Hard to see but the polyps look like flames. Really liking this one lately.

The TSA Pals - TSA Princess Peach and Spyro The Dragon

SPYRO (1 of 1).JPG
The Spyro is really an underrated coral. It is truly a gem, especially under all blues. I love how it will make the body turn nice and purple.

Did you get the princess peach directly from TSA?

For sure! I am really digging the Spyro lately. At first, it didn't have great color but has picked up over the last couple of months.

No. I got the Princess Peach from another hobbyist. It used to be a lot more peachy :) I changed my T5's from 50/50 Coral+/Blue+ to Aquablue Special/Blue+. It has seen a much whiter spectrum or the last two months. It has dulled out a little. I am still hoping it comes back out as it gets bigger.

The growth structure itself just looked a little different. Normally grows with little knobby branches. The color and shape looks like the TSA Daydream. Either way it looks nice!

Awesome. If it turns out to be the Daydream then that will be great as well! The Daydream is on my list of corals to get. It still is really small and I am hoping it shows itself when it is at least double+ its size.

Picked up the new sump for the upgrade. Need to clean it up and will start cooking some dry rock tomorrow. It's a beast! Hope I don't blow out another tendon with this one!

Dang it. How big is that thing then?

It's the 300 gallon. The 100 gallon is next to it for comparison. It's a beast!! It is going to cure my new dry rock for a couple months and then will become the new sump for the upgrade. Once it's connected to the main system then I want to add a small island of rock in the middle with ricordia/mushrooms and add a sting ray and a small shark. Going to be awesome!

Built a template to get a feel of the tank size and also to do a test run and try to fit it through the zig zag hallway. I think I am going to go with a new size now. I am really liking the 9' length and 30" width instead of 8'x3'. So new tank size will be 108x30x24.
