JCOLE's Big Box of Rocks

Well that was fun tonight....

The growth structure itself just looked a little different. Normally grows with little knobby branches. The color and shape looks like the TSA Daydream. Either way it looks nice!
Agree. The Princess Peach doesn't look at all like mine (received from TSA). Top-down, it look more like my Cherry Bomb.

Whoa. I sure hope you got permission to do that. I'd be sleeping in the car for a few nights.

No, in this case, I had her full support. I noticed water dripping from my drywall in the garage. The water heater pipe broke in my wall and I had to rip out the drywall and fix the leak last night. Finished around midnight. Made for fun night. :disappointed-face:

Roger that. I thought it was some kind of reef improvement remodel -- although I could not imagine what for.

I thought about taking a wall down if necessary to get the new tank in. I changed my mind now after this....

Now that's a looker! Amazing how old school corals continue to impress, a must have coral, on my list!
Well done Josh!

Thanks Perry! Yes, I 100% agree. My new build is going to be old school! Already have all the halide pendants and just ordered a foam fractionator. Ditching the needle wheels and going back to venturi. I plan on 90% of the corals to be old school with good lineage.

As soon as I can frag this one then I will get a frag set aside for you.

New rocks are curing in the 300 and I think I am set on salt for the new build for now. If all goes as planned then the tank will be ordered in the next two weeks.

Wow! It's nice to see another reefer with reef crystal for a change! Are we planning with high alk high par (MH) with this build?

Ya'll aren't the only ones still in with IORC. It has always worked just fine for me. I tag on with my LFS for some bulk buys every 6 months or so. 20 boxes for about $41 each. Used to be cheaper, but getting killed on the shipping nowadays.

I used to buy it on Amazon repeat purchase monthly, with free shipping for $35. UPS guy hated me.

I run alk around 10dkh. I will probably keep it there as long as I have higher nutrients. Will depend when I start the halides up as well. If nutrients drop then I will lower alk. I usually have to dose alk with the new saltwater anyways because after mixing for a couple days the its drops to around 7.
