Jebao Dc return pumps

I'm using the same... SRO Extreme 250 with a Bubble Blaster 5000... it skims like a beast and is very quiet.

Maybe the 12000 will do the trick. :) Let us know how it goes.

Brandon.. thats the one we got with the tank right??? that thing was MASSIVE..... I was tempted to swap it with my SRO3000XP

It is, Lindsey. Its rated for 300g heavy bioload, or something similar. It is an absolute beast with that Bubble Blaster on it. Love it. It came with PSK2500s, but they were loud and unreliable (well, one of the two was). The BB5000 is the upgrade CoralVue recommended, and rightfully so.

Lindsey,
I don't know if you've seen this controller option for the Jebao pumps. JBWave - Wavemaker for Jebao Powerheads
I liked the ability to have much greater control over the pumps. Whether this might help you with your project I have no idea. :-)
I ordered one tis week and got it set up on the computer. Gotta get some time to plug it up and test drive it.

Thanks man. Not needed with the new dual controller. I just need something that would change control voltage over a 5 min period. I have pump installed and on high its perfect.

DC12000 still driving this skimmer well? What a savings, 84 watts vs 1.3 amps, awesome!

Not as well as I hoped for. However, I put it inline just as the iwaki pump was, so the water inlet is necked down to 3/4" pipe. By changing some plumbing, I can make the water inlet to the pump straight 1-1/4" so by doing that I feel like it may increase the pumps rate. Since the outlet is 3/4" into the skimmer.

Di increasing the pipe diameter work out for you? I've been wanting to ditch my Iwaki MD RTL70 which is powering an ETSS 800, but not sure the 12000 will do it. Any positive results with the change?

I haven't changed it yet. I hafta order a new bulkhead first and get some other plumbing parts
