The green light on the plug (that goes into the electrical outlet in the wall) and the green lights on the controller will flash every few seconds but the impeller does not move). It worked fine last night, but I did change the pump mode from pulse to constant before going to bed. Any ideas?

This is a common occurrence with cheap Chinese made products. I would try calling their customer support, but chances are that will work as well as your pump does. Next time invest in American made products.

Not necessarily all American made but there are far better quality pumps out there. Ecotech, Maxspect, Apex and Tunze are a few brands that come to mind.

I know... I wish it would let me upload videos but it won't let me. I wonder if the configuration of the controller got stuck in the light?

I am also going to call AI tomorrow and see if they have any input on it. Worst case scenario ill open them

Sorry, I got your comment mixed up with a question I had that had t do with my lights. Probably cleaning it u wont turn the lights on but sometimes they get really dirty and stop pulsing till you clean them up good. I also read that people take the ceramic bearing on the top of the wavemaker because they swell or something like that and replaced them with plastic tubing. GL!

You should pull the impeller and inspect the ceramic bushings. Sometimes the ceramic bushing will seize on the shaft and the impeller will stop turning. If you can work the bushing off and clean it all, it may work again. If you break the ceramic bushing, you can make a temporary replacement out of standard polyethylene tubing until you order a replacement unit.

There could also be some foreign matter built up in the cavity that you can't see without disassembly.

But would that cause the flashing lights? Is that some kind of code for the impeller being frozen/jammed?

What is the size for the tubing and where is the best place to get it?

The blinking light may be a power supply issue. Do you have a different power supply you can try?

The tubing is standard 1/4" OD polyethylene tubing you can get from Lowe's or Home Depot. It is commonly used on RO units or refrigerator ice makers.

Sounds like possibly bad power supply or connection on the power supply into the controller.

What are these high quality American-made wavemaker products that you speak of?
Get what you can afford. I'm all about American made but not when they are 5 times the cost. Be glad it's not a $500 power head that you're trying to fix. My jeboas are 3 years old now and if they quit I feel I've gotten my money's worth.

I tried the power cord from another and it did a little spark when I plugged it in and still would not work. My guess is the controller. Hopefully will arrive within the next couple of days.

Did you inspect the pump itself? It could be that the pump is bound up and the controller has to go into some sort of protection mode.

Got the new controller and that was not it. Cleaned up the pump and that was not it. The impeller seems to spin easily too. Will try the replacement as soon as I can get my hands on the tubing.

Do the sleeve bearings rotate freely on the shift?
