Aquacultured is Maricultured, it means the same thing...

If you can get your hands on Potassium Permanganate, thats the best thing you can use. Its an oxidizer (also an explosive), it will dissolve anything organic. Takes a few mins and it will dissolve the eggs too. Though you have to be EXTREMELY careful with it as you are organic too, lol. I wrote a how-to article for doing this several years ago when I did a study on Monti Nudis... Not sure where its posted anymore, lol. Its been awhile. If you can find it, let me know and I'll help. I found mine at Tractor Supply Company, 5lb container for like $20. You only need a tiny bit.

You're kidding! I've been trying to source potassium permanganate locally for several months now to take care of a snail infestation in my planted tank, I had no idea that TS sold it, I'll have to go look there! Thanks for posting that!

wow i got to give props to the distributor that sold these to the LFS, that i bought them from. After emailing them my frustrating with these nudis and disappointed with them, they are replacing the coral for me. I have them in my 8g qt but are not getting better even with coral rx dips

Just so you know, simply because they came from a specific distributor/wholesaler doesn't mean the nudi's did, if they hit the LFS tanks then I bet those tanks have them as well.... the real question becomes did they have them before or not until after getting that shipment in, and what is their dip process if they even have one, doesn't sound like you had one atleast not before all this so you can't really blame either of them for getting it into your system.

i dont blame either in the end its my fault for introduction the non qt'ed corals to my system . got the coral the next day after it was shipped. I was over a friends tonight that bought a pokerstar monti the same from the shipment and his was infested with nudis to. I have been stopping by the lest few weeks and all there other montis look fine. it seems like it was this one shipment of nice highend montis, pokerstar, superman, jedi, and a few others they where all sold in two days. all where at least the size of your hand to. I never asked for a replacement or any thing it was just offered. i just sent them an email more of a FYI type of email.

Bayer insecticide worked wonders for me. I dipped at a ratio of 5mL per 4 cups of tank water or so every few days. I dipped all montis. After the first week of ever other day dipping I backed off to every four or 5 days. The every 7 days. 4 weeks of dipping and I haven't seen them since. Some of the most infested colonies I did not save. I also broke off dead parts and threw them out. They aren't really so hard to get rid of. A few wrasses cant hurt either.
