Joann's 60g cube...a work in slow progress

It would be wise to find out what the recommend water level is for that skimmer I usually dial it in to the bottom of the neck where my bubbles are

Went to the lfs today to just pick up a couple little things for the tank. Look what followed me home

Introducing...Kermit The Crab, Freddy Krueger the Halloween Hermit and Thing 1 the skunk shrimp. Eventually there will be a Thing 2 but at $25 per I decided maybe I'd better just go with one today.

Kermit seems to enjoy the seaweed I put in this morning. But I'm a little worried about Freddy. He hasn't shown any interest in any of the supplemental food I've put in. Last night after I finished acclimating him and put him in the tank he was moving around a good bit but I haven't seen him move from that one spot yet today. He's got his back to me so I can pretty much only see the shell. The other two are crawling all over the place.

Made my first big mistake yesterday. I unplugged my ato while I was working on something in the sump and apparently I forgot to plug it back in. I discovered it this morning when there was a sudden blizzard of micro bubbles in the tank. I rushed over and opened the cabinet to see what was going on and the water in my return was really low. Looked behind the cabinet and there was the plug laying on the floor. :( The two crabs seem ok but I haven't been able to find the shrimp yet this morning.

A nice shot of Freddy Krueger. After I dropped a pinch of frozen mysis in there he finally showed some signs of life. All three of them went nuts over it. Thing 1 the skunk shrimp came out of hiding super quick. None of them seem to have been adversely affected by my big goof up yesterday.

Honestly I'd be SUPER shocked if any of them even noticed the change in salinity. I have a nano (14g) and I've gone 3 plus days without topping without seeing any negative repercussions. Don't know anything about the microbubbles though. Anyway good thing you're making all these mistakes now so you don't make worse ones later :)

I'm thinking it's time for some snails. At least now my crabs and shrimp have a readily available food supply.

Man that sucks! And I was just thinking of asking you if you had gotten it yet. What's the difference between the hd and the regular one?

no controller needed, just any android or ios device to control from anywhere in the planet. also as you adjust the power up and down on a specific color you can used the unused power from onle light to make the other more intense.

My first couple of fish are in quarantine. I got a steal of a deal on this snowflake clown. The lfs ordered a bunch of them and this is the last sad little clown that nobody picked. So the owner had him marked down to $34.99. Along the edges of the white borders he had just the tiniest hint of a very pale greenish blue color. There's also a little bit in the center of the white.

There's also a purple firefish in there but he's being very shy at the moment. I'll try to get a pic of him later once he's settled in.

Now I'm afraid to go to bed. I'm afraid I'll wake up in the morning and they'll both be dead. I doubt I'll sleep a wink tonight.
