Just cleaned the screen on Wednesday working great so far

Dang... mine was a nice dark green with patches of hair. I just scraped it with a spatula and rinsed.

since the pic i've moved the lamp to the middle and closer to the screen but i still need another.
 
So, here we are just over a month since putting it in place. Getting a good thick growth. My bottom bulbs are too close but I can't do much about it.

im pretty impressed at how DARK green it is. guess that means it is full of nutrients. Hopefully we can get those nitrates puled down. I am going to start cleaning one side a week in hopes that the extended growth can accelerate the nitrate removal.

This is the algae from my algae scrubber. I don't normally post, just wanted to share my harvest with you guys. The secret to a good algae scrubber is the amount of lights and the flow you have. I also feed a lot.
 
Nice! How long did it take to get this growth and what size is your system?

Most people go by the 7 day rule, but I don't I clean mines about 10 to 14 days, I can go longer because as you can see I have no die off. This cleaning was about 10 days.
