Best advice I can give is to work on the rock outside the tank or find shapely large rocks. If you want to use what you have you can use epoxy to make large shapely rocks out of smaller. Then see what works and shut off that skimmer for a few days.

75$ New addition, couldn't pass it up at the price even with the storm coming lol.

Storm is set to come tonight & I live 500 feet from the water on the coastline of ny.

Battery operated pumps and a largr ups back up. Hopefully it's enough.

Just realized I haven't updated here.

I was without power for 7 days and lost a bunch of stuff but I gladly replaced them. Ended using the car to power my tank with a small inverter.

House is fine but the local area was pretty much destroyed.


The tanks kind of going through an overhaul with placement and I'm still holding a lot of stuff for friends.

Heres an updated photo. I'm purchasing a d7000 or similar for Christmas so better photos will follow.

Nice looking tank. Which LED unit did you end up putting on your T5 unit?

Sahin, I did a custom Fullspectrum LED strip from BUILDMYLED.

I went with a "whiter" spectrum. Overall color with T5 is around 16k

Some color, some stuff just won't color up since sandy

I am having the same problem, my red planet, sunset monti and some other wont color up back to normal since after sandy's power outage

Nice job ! I have the same tank and went with Radions. I didnt think a 24 inch fixture would be enough, but your tank looks great.

I went with a Bashsea sump and skimmer. I didnt like the Elos one either.
