Junior's Monster Tank Build

hey junior If you need a hand on anything let me know. I just want to see this come together.

PS when I get some cash together after I pay for these new windows I need some zoas.

Sounds like a plan, ill be calling all cars when it comes time to moving the 300 .

Ive got to go down 12 steps, and about 30 feet across the room is all, but at almost or over 400 pounds, im still figuring out the process.

Ive seen guys rent HVAC jacks that they use in commercial apps to hold huge pieces of HVAC up. I think getting it to the same level as the stan would make it alot easier...

Hey You know what I do for a living? HVAC. lol. I asume you are talking about a duct hoist. I should be able to get one but Im not sure of the lifting limits of it. Also it has like outriggers (so it does not tip forward)that would need to slide under the stand. I could also get what we call piano movers. It is like 2 carts that strap to either side of the load and then can jack up each side a few inches which would make rolling easy. Just let me know. Im not sure If I have met you in person but we must have passed somewhere living so close.

thats fantastic to know. If i havent run into you before, Ill make a point to do so soon.

Ill be sure to get in touch long before the actual move date of the monster.

thanks

Well a few pieces of equipment are in the works.

Here is some pics Bob over at Reef Mania sent me of my reactor being built.

Bob was amazing to deal with. Went above and beyond, and was excellent on communication. Something that all to often in this hobby is a problem.

Here are some pics he sent me. Ill get some more when it arrives, to show to massive scale of this beast.

This one really shows the massiveness of it. The Main chamber is 8" in diameter and 24" tall.

Overall, its 34" tall...

Holy COW!!!! Well, I don't think I can say that I have the largest reactor on the block anymore.... Mine only holds a measly 50 pounds of media, that one HAS TO BE more then that!

:dribble:

That's about all I can do. Sweet reactor! I can't imagine your stuff looking any better but I'm sure that can't hurt.

I'm assuming you already have something lined up to be buying media in bulk!! LOL. That is one nice looking reactor, Jr.

Thanks very much guys!

Here is the regulator that will feed the Co2.

Its a little different from what you might be used to seeing.

Read up on it though. Very cool piece of equipment. The best part is its warranty. 3 YEARS BUMPER TO BUMPER! Reef Fanatic (one of the best) carries only a limited 6 month warranty.

Dude J-Mack can you handle that 300g? I just got my 250g in and its a beast!

I love your Reactor man!

lets just say I'm not looking forward to the move. But ive had probably 100 offers from local reefers willing to help when the time comes.

Hell, Im going to need help moving that reactor:tongue:

man I come to this site to look at this thread and at least once a month I view the thread and still its not setup. Sure are taking your time to make sure everythings the way you want it arent ya lol.

Either way that first pic of the reactor shows the scale based on the toolbox's in the background.

yeah....needless to say I making sure all the equipment is top notch stuff...

But with that comes a high price tag...money is the only thing slowing the project down.

I wasnt trying to belittle you in any way I ment the previous post as a sort of sarcasm :D. Trying to be funny lol.

Here is just some quick snaps of the setup. Its not even close to being done, but its coming together. All the wiring and such is obviously not going to be like that when im done.

Thats looking sweet Junior - nice setup!

I like the Rhomboid in there too! Nice fish poop for the corals ;)

where is there fish poop?

the corals might be spitting their guts a bit from the move....they didnt like it so much.

the coral were in the tank about 10 minutes, and had no light for 3 days...

LOL - I meant that the fish poop from the Rhomboid will be nice since he is such a cool fish!
