Just a reminder...DIP YOUR CORALS!

Hey yall, just throwing it out there for those who say “this one time wont hurt,” or the occasional, “looks good right out of the bag cant even see anything.”

I just dipped a single plug and out came a bunch of nasties.
Im assuming flat worms
You couldnt even tell it had any at all after inspecting it.
After a dip these little guys came running out.

Dip your corals its not worth the trouble.

Seeing things like this just show me how much I used to play with fire.

This just proves every coral you don't dip is like adding another bullet to the revolver in Russian roulette.

What is your dip method? It looks to be very effective.

All I use is coral Rx its even a bit expired and still super effective.
Had a montipora nidibranch problem a while back and it helped me eradicate them quickly.

Usually fill up a 2qt container drip 10-12 drops use a syringe to blow them off after 5-10min and that usually does it.

I'd chuck that frag plug while you're at it too! That is where the eggs would be if there were any.

Gave it a good scrub too with a tooth brush
Its a deadpool blasto with 5 heads and more babies growing that I scored so was a bit scared to scrape it off and re glue it on another plug.

very rarely is there a foreign frag plug or rock that I ever take into my system. After the $$$ I’ve spent on all the other coral, losing a little bit of coral to reduce my risk of introducing pests is worth it.

It was from a local fish store wont say the name.
Unfortunately, pests are inevitable.
Any lfs that says they don't have any pests is lying to you so you always have to have your own game-plan.

90% of my corals come from ora. And 0% of them have ever had bugs or flat worms when i dipped them... ora corals i noticed are super clean.

The other 10% are corals from local fish stores that have dirty frag plugs from other peoples tanks ect
