Just bought a G5 Aquastar light… is running the white light all day expectable for corals? It is also extremely bright, will this affect the fish or corals in any way? Should I lower light intensity? Anyone here with the same light? What numbers do you run? Thanks

I don't know the light, but HERE's 27 pages of discussion about the lights.....including settings. Hope this helps.

Depends on height, corals, ect. What is your light over?

I would try 10% 40% 40% 40% 5% 10%

Channels are bright white, blue, blue ,purple, yellow white, green.

Sweet thanks for the helpful and timely info. I wanted more of white light then blue so I can see better but without damage to corals and not blinding to fish

Great looking tank! How many inches across is it?

Am just starting like you with this lights
Nice… these were definitely the best for the price…. Light is seems plenty strong… I personally enjoy the white lighting better. Trying to have more white than blue while still maintaining happy corals
