Just got my first tank

I'll probably upgrade it to a canister filter eventually, but I'm going to hold off for a while. I promised my wife we would start with a small aquarium for our son's room and not spend tons of money on it. That was about $500 dollars ago. At this point I want to focus on getting everything dialed in so that we can start adding livestock back to the tank.

HAHAHA yea.... I was more then a little shocked by the price tags when my boyfriend started setting up his first reef tank. I was like dang he'd never even think to spend that type of money on me. :mad: May want to buy your wife a present or take her on a date before she starts to really resent the tank like I did.

Haha, I can see where that would be upsetting. I just bought my wife a brand new car, haven't even made the first payment on it, so I think I should be good for now. Every time I order something for the tank, I buy her something as well. It makes it a little easier to justify my spending
