& had them ship overnight, boy am I spoiled and cant wait..If its as good as the Apex i installed last week ,I think i will be set..

Wonder what i will buy next.:noidea:

I just hope the MP are as good as what people say there are, cause i pump that cost 500 bucks sure the H*** better move some water,

Is there going to be a special way i need to set it up,also I only got 1, should i keep my tunze 61** something(2150 Flow/non controllable) on the other side or just use 1 mp40 i have a 48inch long 120 24 inch deep tank

I loved my MP40s on my bigger tank when I had it, and love my MP10s on my cube tank. I used 2 MP40s on my 120. I would used the Tunze on the other side.

id figure i would but i didnt know if it will affect what the mp40 can do..especially ifs the tunze just is one constant flow

i do have a jabeo 40 now and thought of selling it and keeping the tunze, but idk which would be better to use

I am running 2 on my 100 and they are awesome. Lots of control so you will need to tinker with them to get what you are looking for.

Im sure i will, Ive seen some program that are setup thru the Apex and its crazy, Im sure i wont get the full affect with just 1 but will do for a month or 2 till i get the other

I've got 2 MP40's on each end and 1 MP10 in the rear middle of my 120 and I love them myself. I used Jebao WP40's for a while and can honestly say they were just as good and that's why I'll keep them as back up to the Vortechs. Maybe when I get that new house with the 300g DD setup I'll use all 4!

Congrats!

well i just think the jabeo has to much of a direct flow coming out of it,Im not sure if the Ecotech will have more of a wider flow or not. but shall see
Please dont tell me a 80 dollar pump will be the same as a 465 one..

These pumps are good have a friend with two in his 90 but they still cannot compare to mp's the only thing better about them to me is the price point flow and control can not compare to the mp's IMO.

I do find that the vortec has a wider flow to it than the WP40. The pumps themselves I would say are roughly comparable aside from the in tank profile (the MP40 is very nice only having the propeller in the tank where the WP40 is softball sized) but the biggest difference, IMO, is the controllers. The Jebao controller doesn't hold a candle to the vortec.

I think you are gonna be disappointed... my wp40 has double the power of my mp40:( and you can control that wp40 with that new apex you got

I heard you gotta splice some cable together or someting for the wp40 to work with the apex

And the wp40 is a monster in the tank

I believe they have the same amount of flow if I read correctly..

I have one of each in my current 80 rimless and my mp40 is set at 75% and my wp40 is set as low as I could get it and the wp40 is way to strong the only reason I have it's in my tank is my 450 $ mp40 is broke agian been threw a wet side and a control box

ugh!! Well Im hoping i got 30 days to try it out,but im just looking for something with a wider flow since my width is 24" and length is only 48".

Just outta curiosity why didn't you go with the wp25 if you only run at the lowest setting,

Two MP40s have been running in my 180 for just over two years now without a problem. I typically run them at about 50% capacity.

Because I had 2 mp40's I figured this 70$ pump can't be more powerful than my 450$ mp40 I didn't know how powerful it was I wish I got a wp25 gonna get some wp10s for my sump I might have to get one But I will say I like the look of my mp40's better
