Just ordered a MP40 So STOKED!!!

Because I had 2 mp40's I figured this 70$ pump can't be more powerful than my 450$ mp40 I didn't know how powerful it was I wish I got a wp25 gonna get some wp10s for my sump I might have to get one But I will say I like the look of my mp40's better

Ive had mine wp40 for 2 months and i do admit it does a great wave but killing my sps with the direct flow and i got it on the middle setting
I like the tunze i have but its just as big as the jabeo

You will enjoy your mp40 they are great pumps and their tech support is good just wish they would bring the price down and with the new progam coming out for the reef link you can't go wrong

I ditched my MP40 a while back as was easily the noisiest element to my whole system even with a brand new $93 Wet-side. Recently purchased two WP-40's and say I'm very happy overall for 1/6 the $ and !/6 the noise. The controller is certainly not to Vortechs standards but for the money hard to go wrong. Also for me having the bulk of PH in tank -vs- outside was a ***-for-tat being visually looking at the tank they are about the same and cord on outside was more distracting in my case. I've heard that the MP60 is quieter but will not spend that much to find out. Hope yours is what your hoping for.

Cheers, Todd

I love my mp60 in my tank with the back up battery also .

IM sure this could be debated on which is better forever. but I kept hearing that they were noisy, but if you didn't set them up correct that is why,
I can hear the wp40 going on off and trust me I hate hearing noise...I will soon find out tomorrow weather this was a good choice or not and maybe I will be one of the many that will like it...If I do anyone want a wp40.lol (or you might see my mp40 on the selling forum) I appreciate everyone's input on this.
and will come back tomorrow with a  or a

IM sure this could be debated on which is better forever. Absolutely, and I apologize for raining on your Parade...lol
Part of the issue in my case is that my 125g is made from 3/4" acrylic and don't really think the MP40 is capable of running quiet on that thickness. Spent much time to get it perfectly aligned to no avail and made TV watching other than Football at high volume impossible. For my new/future build would still consider using MP60's along back wall if they are quiet enough through 1" material. Smart of you to wait until after X-mas to ship, maybe you will even receive a square box....lol

Cheers, Todd

Well I bought the gift cards from Marine depot when u buy 100 u pay for only 90 of it,
so I actually saved 50 bucks on them but then i lost it to get overnight..lol

U aint raining on my parade,i like to have everyones input ,almost like debating on Ford vs Chevy..I like Ford..

I hope there quiet if not i do have 30 day to return which is nice

I purchased two of the MP40 and MP10 pumps during the black Friday sale along with an Apex controller. My first experience with both a controller and controllable pumps.

Just set them up tonight and it is unbelievable compared to the cheap powerheads I previously used over the last 20 years! Well worth the cost and can't believe it took me this long to invest in this technology. I know I spent a lot more than if I had just gone to these over the years replacing powerheads that didn't last more than 6 months and didn't have near the flow and no control.

I will say the MP40 pumps do have a noticable noise especially during pulse modes but I can live with it knowing what they can do especially setup on the Apex.

I got running 5 mp40's on my 202 SPS tank and I been running Vortech pumps for about 3 years now.
Must say I won't run any other pump, this pump got class.
Yes, they do make a little noise but for the good we talking here about a reef tank not a freaking library.

Congrats bro you will love them.
