Just ordered CP from Diamondback

I wouldn't worry too much as the spots are generally entrance wounds. So if the fish was afflicted with a parasite in the tank It came from the spots could be just now showing up. If you continue to see any new spots after 5-7 days I would then be concerned.

Are you using any filtration?

There’s one of those bio blocks from my sump in there and some hair algae on a frag plug for the blenny. No carbon or anything. HOB filter for flow.

I was just thinking the same thing. Still perplexing as the fish is in pharmaceutical CP.

The spots appear to be hanging off in places and move in the water.

Edit: there were no signs of anything on this fish prior to adding CP. it was flashing before and I saw it do it last night too. I did a round of GC already.

I was just looking at the brook treatment guidelines... I did GC already and I’m currently running CP at 80mg/g. Fish could get brook after both of these treatments? I have Rally and can do a bath when I get home.

Just got home. Fish looks really bad. Not white anymore. Now it’s head looks dark and bruised. Staying on the bottom of the tank

This started with the CP. should I use carbon to pull it out?

Sounds like CP did its job (killed brook), but now you are dealing with secondary infections from where the parasites had been feeding.

What ABX do you have on hand? NFG, Kanaplex, Furan-2???
