I would not. But be careful of palytoxin if you decide to get rid of them. Deadly stuff.

So how do you get rid of them. Someone gave it to me when I started to see if it would live in my new tank.

Give away the rock via Craigslist?

I have many of these and No issues and its been over 2 years

They are palythoa. Soft coral. Keep them if you like them. But keep separate they can take over.

To remove mine I simply covered my mouth and nose with a T-shirt got a long pair of tongs and pulled each polyp from the rock...immediately put it in a plastic bag as soon as I pulled them all off I tied the bag took it outside and threw it in the trash took a little time but had no issues....

I have them and I like them. One of my first corals and everything said above is true. I got confidence in reefing by fragging corals like this but now I'm going to have to start removing.

They are on my overflow and I scrape them off as needed. Can you use suction like a turkey baster to remove from rocks? If that's not big enough, would that technique work if larger?

Please dont do this....you risk exposing everybody that handles that trash until its buried and any animal that gets in it along the way...best to bury or neutralize with bleach...
Is there a way to remove / manage locally ?
I would remove the rock and soak in bleach to remove the unwanted palys...

Easy enough to manage, just keep the rock separate for any others. Then they won’t grow off it. Or surround it with corals that pack a good sting, acan echinata, galaxia etc.
