Kessil A360X Lighting Schedules Thread

The controller is pretty nice. Pretty reasonable for its features.

Yes but when they are teasing us with a WiFi dongle and set things up from my phone... I get tempted to hold off

Just hooked up my 360x today and while the color pop is better (especially with the greens which were nearly non-existent with my older Kessils) it still doesn't really match the "electric black light poster" look I get from my Radions. While that has nothing to do with coral growth I'm wondering if I'll be able to live with the visual difference...especially when the Radion tank is only 6' away. Not so great video & pics for comparison. Small green frag in the upper left is the same monti as the larger monti in the upper left of the Radion pic. Also the mushroom in the bottom middle is the same in both tanks.

Oh I'll be buying it also .get both .:)

I'm starting to worry the wifi isisnt coming out. I was supposed to be before 2019 .;/

They responded to me on one of their Facebook pages that they are expecting it mid 2019. Ill be picking up the new spectral controller. At least they made it backwards compatible so i can use it with my other A360w's

Just ran a par test:
Color: 10
Int: 90
Violet: 80
Red: 15
Green: 25

2 x 360x
2 x T5 Blue plus ho

Thanks for everyone's advice on this thread. So is it safe to say you cannot access the violet / red / green colors unless you have the Spectral X controller?

Correct. The violate is a game changer.

I need some help creating a new color program. I'm running the tuna blue preset now but would like a lil more icy look through out the mid day.....about 18k-20k
1x a360x, 10 1/2" off the water. Kessel controller, 25g lagoon 24Lx20Wx12H

On @ 8am off at 8pm can anyone help me create a new light schedule please?

In case this is helpful to others, or in case anyone has any recommendations, here is my schedule. I like it to be whiter / more yellow in the morning, but then become gradually more blue and vibrant into the evening. My schedule attempts to make a color transition I like while keeping par ranges ideal for enough hours. You can see my post of baseline par numbers here: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/r2r-par-database.538894/page-2#post-5995138

9:00 - Color: 100, Intensity: 0, Vi: 0, R: 0. G: 0
10:00 - Color: 100, Intensity: 10, Vi: 0, R: 0. G: 0
12:00 - Color: 80, Intensity: 80, Vi: 0, R: 20. G: 10
14:00 - Color: 60, Intensity: 90, Vi: 0, R: 10. G: 10
16:00 - Color: 60, Intensity: 80, Vi: 20, R: 0. G: 0
18:00 - Color: 40, Intensity: 60, Vi: 40, R: 0. G: 0
20:00 - Color: 20, Intensity: 10, Vi: 10, R: 0. G: 0
23:00 - Color: 0, Intensity: 0, Vi: 0, R: 0. G: 0

Par raises quickly in the morning, has a gradual arc over the afternoon, then falls quickly in the evening again. I took a lot of par measurements in the thread above to get an idea of how par differs across the tank. Looking at one specific point in the middle of the tank (depth and length), I get for par:

10:00 - 40
12:00 - 221
14:00 - 256
16:00 - 259
18:00 - 225
20:00 - 40

So far initial indications are good, so not planning to make any changes (unless anyone has any recommendations that I might not have considered).

Have you changed your schedule at all since your original post?

The only thing I did was bumped the int to 100 and R to 30 at peak. It's been a great schedule for my tank and has doubled the size of my sps frags.

I've got Red Sea 170 and am only running one right now so I think I'll have to do the same.
