Kessil and VDM module

I love challenges. So you do your ticket and we can try and crack this mystery (together).
Do you only use Fusion, or do you know how to access the Apex Web Page Directly (sorry, some folks only use Fusion)


If you know how to using your Web Browswer http: //YOUR Apex IP address) and log in as "admin" default password if you haven't changed is "1234"

Then click on the VDM OUTLET that represents your Kesil Intensity. If the OUTLET isn't there (find the EDIT on Dashboard and Drag it out)

It should then show a box with the Times and Values

Shown in RED is the 2pm time, and BLUE is the Intensity. (I turn on my Kessil at 2pm, 10% Intensity)

Your's should look similar but your timestamps should be 11:30 and intensity should be 15 Just like your screenshot.

Those Data points are what show up on your Apex Fusion Graph.

Let's see what you got, and then we can check the real Apex time (just a double check)

I find the wizard for ramping my kessils to make no sense so I still do it the 'old fashioned' way by creating ramp profiles and then writing them into the outlet program. I have to do it for both the color and the intensity channel for each set of lights. This is the one for intensity. Color is similar, I just ramp the color less than intensity to keep a bluer look.

If Time 11:30 to 17:30 Then INT_MAINT
If Time 17:30 to 19:30 Then INT_DOWN
Agree, but if you are going to share your Profile Scheduling, please share also the Associated Profiles.

However in this OP's problem it's the Time/schedule that is off.

How do I find IP address?
I just did some digging. There is no way to get your Real IP address from Fusion.

The Apex is getting it's address from you house LAN Router (using DHCP)
Do you know how to do that? Go into your Router and find out the DHCP IP address assignement.?

There is another way if you have an Apex LCD display, but I think the new Apex doesn't come with one.
 
Agree, but if you are going to share your Profile Scheduling, please share also the Associated Profiles.

Understood if OP doesn't need it, however I'm curious too.
I use the Timestamp Point method. Other profiles for Pump Pulsing.
How do you ramp up a Light intensity on a VDM 0-10Volt.

Is it a custom profile? Since I find nothing with for 2 VDM output like a Kessil needs.
Pumps profile don't have Ramp up.
Closest thing with Ramp up is A Radion but that won't work.

Sorry if my reply came off testy ... not intended. Let me see ...

I go into the profiles tab on apex local (or fusion); click on an unused one; give it a goofy name (in this case INT_UP); select 'ramp' from the type dropdown menu; then fill in ramp time, start and end intensity. Then use the name of the profile in program for the VDM outlet in question.

Maybe I'm the only apex user on the planet who feels this way, but the wizards just confuse me LOL. I always use 'advanced' and just type in the commands. I also cannot figure out how to do printscreen on my mulit-monitor setup .... sigh.

This may be really handy, since I can use it for my VDM controlled Gyre too.
I also have Dimmable T5's and for Ramp up and Down, I have to do lots of points.
Even my skimmer & Return Pump is DC variable speed. Might ramp those too to transition to night time or feeding (since drastic changes are not ideal)
