Anyone use these lights? If so, how do you like them? Also, any par values would be appreciated.

I have the 360s but I've never heard a complaint about the ap9x. Was just pricing them myself. Absolutely love the kessil I have though

How many are on your tank and do you know the par levels?

2 of them for my 90 gal currently. Everything grows almost too well. Just planning for an upcoming upgrade. Not sure of the par levels. Never bothered to check them.

They don't have any white spectrum right? All blue/purple from what I've read.

Mine can be as white as I want them to be.

I just don't see what constitutes a $900 price tag.
I've never seen an owner complain over the price. You get the kessil look and quality. Going from black box to kessil made me never recommend black boxes again.

I guess it's just a "Cadillac" thing. As far as functionality it looks like they don't offer much more than a Vipar though.

Love mine, I have a 3 foot tank and this allowed me to purchase 1 fixture rather than the recommended 2 360’s. Plus the Wi-Fi is integrated so no reason to purchase a dongle or the separate control unit.

You can light a 4 ft tank with single AP9X vs dual A360X. Cost per watt is $4.70 for AP9X vs $4.98 for A360X, which doesn’t include cost of a second mounting arm.

Not even close. Visually it's night and day. In my eyes my tank looked horrible with the black boxes I had before. Beyond that kessil are much better engineered.

This question is really specific, but do you think these will grow softies on the bottom of my tank well? 1/8" lids and going to hang 4 around 6"-8" over my tank. I have Vipars which they are growing under, but I really would like to have sunrise/sunset effect as well.

You can grow anything using kessil, except maybe mags/gigs

I have a bunch of softies and lps doing fine in the bottom of mine. If you are just looking to grow softies though, you can probably get a cheaper setup (referring to the price comments above) if that is what you are debating

My tank is 8' x 4' x 20". Would 4 be good, not enough, or overkill?
I have 2 360s over my 90 gal and everything grows. If you ever need a bit more LED strips or T5 hybrid would supplement just fine.

I have vipars currently but I also want a sunrise/sunset programmability. I also want to run all blues or nearly all blues. I currently use a different light for sunrise/sunset but I'd like to faze that light out.
