I don't think you can get a 150 new... that said I would go with a 160 so you can get the color and brightness that is pleasing to you and you can add or connect to a controller. If it were me i would concider a 360 but im pretty big into overkill anyways

I want the 360 but my budget is kind of tight. I know that if it is tight than I should probably not be getting a kessil but you know what I mean

Hey Christian, sorry could not get the link to work. Just go to eBay and search for seller Cll_Petsupplies. It's the 400-1600 GPH submersible pump. I got the 530 GPH. On line thing to anybody that has a gooseneck mount for their Kessil 160. Mine started to
get really loose. So I bought the A series light brace mount. It's made for the 700 but it works really well for the 160 and is rock
solid. And it's adjustablle.. Good luck and shoot me a pm if you want any more help.

Hi, if you plan on keeping seahorses you are probably going to have to modify the pump system.
Seahorses can't stand flow. They need really low flow and it's not good to put rock in the tank.
They can get cut and get infections very easy. I had a tank with 3 mated pairs and they are very
messy with the fact they need to be feed a lot. In my tank I had all gorgonians and Sea grass. Had
it up for 4 years and just got to be to much. I even had 2 skimmers running. They are definitely cool
and are worth it if your willing to go the extra mile for their care. Good luck and contrary to what
some people say the Kessil 160WE will grow SPS with no problems. It's all in their intensity. In my JBJ
30RL at 100% it will burn corals its that strong. Good luck with your tank.

What did you do to slow the flow down in the return pump with it still being able to pump up?
I am not sure on how you do that.

Hey, To slow the flow you just need a small ball valve and have it right in front of the y and the you can control the flow. I have a valve on each one so I can control the flow to each side. As far as the skimmer I am not familiar with the make. Not a huge fan of HOB skimmers. I have a Eshopps Nano but am getting a Tunze 9004 soon. The Tunze 9004 is only $150 and is a very good skimmer, if you have the room in the back for it. I am in the process of getting a shallow water reef tank and will be moving my corals to it and keeping the JBJ for fish only. Ok want a couple of Dwarf Angels but they are coral eaters. Hope everything works out for you. My pump.gives me more than enough flow so I don't use any other powerheads.

I have the hob in the pic i posted for sale it's the newer version than the one on the Amazon link Idk if that's a old picture or what but they stopped making that design at least a year ago.

To me the tunzes are way too sinsetive to water fluctuations. And hard to dial in for this reason.

Ya, but I have a Tunze ATO setup so water levels are no problems for me. Evaporation in my house is crazy so I need one. That is cool it's easy to.clean. My Eshopps Nano Skimmer is not bad but doesn't like any additives or it goes crazy. I really hate it. So it's going soon.
