Ordered standard USB-C cables and 90 degree angle adapters from monoprice for my pair of 360x lights. They worked as expected. Cheap like borscht!

The dongle is same price as the spectral controller, which is just clunky and not nearly as intuitive as the Kessil app for the dongle.

And you always have your phone within reach. Not so with the controller.

Some of the ones i was checking on amazon said 60 watt but now i know it doesnt matter since it doesnt really pull the watts from that.

They may say that, but it's a part that has specs. And the specs are for up to 100 watts. The ones you are looking at on Amazon are likely for a specific product, Samsung note 10 or something.

And yes, each light has it's own power supply. The USBc cable is just a link, probably only a couple of volts, and really small current.

Like these? Is that fine for the kessils though?

Yes. That's exactly what I was talking about, they are saying 60 watts because that's what those phones charge at. And yes that would be fine for the kessil light's.

K-link cable powers the x controller also, so a bit more than that ..... but certainly nowhere near 60 watts.

The k-link cable does not power the dongle. The dongle plugs directly into the kessil.

I have not used the dongle; was referring to the x controller. That does get its power from the K-link cable, though it’s still low wattage.

OMG i'm so glad i came across this thread to find this out. I just bought 3 Kessils and the Wifi doggle thingie and the K-link cables were next! Is it really just a basic USB-C to USB-C cable????

Err.. if it's just a dimming signal Kessil uses 10v analog.
You could be slightly dropping the voltage a tad on the signal wire.
Just a guess.
