Update:

I just added an oversized UV sterilizer to help manage the ich in the tank.

I also added a few more fishes to the tank. Meleagris Leopard Wrasse, Scopas Yellow Tang, Helfrichi Firefish, and a pair of Mocha Davinci clownfish.

Corals are doing great and starting to branch out more. I have started populate the tonga plates. So far I only added one piece from my my 24G, still waiting for some good pieces to put on them.

Time for another update:

Tank Health : Overall the fishes and corals are doing well. I have a Blue Berry Gorgonian that seems to be hanging in there for a little over a month now. I have been feeding the tank at least 4 times day /w direct feeding at night. Will look into making an autofeeder for it in the future.

Low Lights :(:
I lost the red stripe tile fish. Some how it got some type of infection at the tail that did not heal and I had to euthanized it a week later. It was letting the clean up crew eat at its tail. That is when I knew its time to let him go. I did not have clove oil so I did the ice cold bath for it. The Australian Harlequin Tusk was overwhelmed by ich irritations that I had to rescue him again:eek:. He has been in the QT /w Cupramine for about two weeks now and doing well. Waiting 30 days to make sure all ich is out of him and try one more time to introduce him back to DT.

High Lights :):
I got some more fishes in the tank:

  • 13 blue/green Chromis - I highly recommend buying a school of them. They make the tank look like a real reef. They swim in a school in the day and at night they break up and changed colors to blend in the environment.
  • Blue Star Leopard Wrasse - I introduced the blue star in the tank without QT. It still on a different time zone and wake up ~4 hours later. Its eating and looking healthy. No issues so far. As a precaution I'm feeding mysis socked metroplex+focus every other day to kill any internal flukes/parasites.
My Yellow Scopas Tang is eating more nori now and looking more plump and healthy than before. There are some HLLE on it so I'm hoping the nori and extra feeding will help it.

Here are some current pics of the fishes:
