Kill BTA's ?

I'm not looking for a project. I'm looking for an easier job that won't break off all my coral. i'm trying both technique's out tonight, on the easiest anemones to get out.
Just don't kill them Salt2Salt. They are living animals that love your tank.

Just keep in mind the pipe method might take at least a day or two. Gotta give it a full light cycle because the light is the reason it will be moving.

Well, they're living animals, but they're about as aware as a plant. It's a shame to kill pretty things that there's a demand for, but... oh well. It's not like they're puppies or something.

Wonder how much you can sell yours for...

You can send me the nem covered rocks. I'll leave in my set for 2 weeks and ship the rocks back. Nothing ever survives in my setup.

Sure. But wouldn’t it be more humane to flush them down the toilet:););).
I would need you to send me everything but the water and box, if I get them out alive. My rocks have to many corals on them to even think of removing from tank

Theres always the ice cube method to try and get them to release their footing on the rock. After you can always ask your lfs for store credit in exchange for the nems.

Can’t get at most of their feet. Just started the tube method and the syphon method tomorrow.

Here they are in action.
I traded 3 for the 2 Zoa frags in the pic.

I'm going to have to do this same thing. I got a bta 3 months ago and I now have 6. They are starting to tick off all my other corals.. One died to a power head recently and I was.. thrilled (no joke). And yes my tank is fine after it died.

I went through a few emotions reading this thread
So happy you have gone with trying to remove the anemone and pass them on to other reefers.
I do wish i had your problem of a thriving tank.
Hope your ears have stopped burning through all the horrid names i was calling you lol.

Can i ask, seriously, if you are not doing regular water changes, are you dosing which is keeping your system parameters where they need to be.
What are you using as a warning system to show your tank parameters may have shifted.

IF YOU HAD TO TAKE A REEFING EXAM, WOULD YOU PASS?
