So i will pick up my Kleinii Butterfly as last solution to the Aiptasia outbreak in my tank.
So what will he consum, what is safe.
I got:

Feather Dusters
Coco Worm
Clam
Leathers
Gsp
Scolly
Acantho
Zoas
Blastos
Duncan
Frogspawn
Some Sps
Pectinia
Mushrooms
BTA
Mini Maxi
Tube Nem
Adhesive Nems
Gorgonian
and of course Aiptasia.

Purchased one, he did a great job on the aptasia. Then it decided aquaculture elegance was just as tasty. Took it to the LFS.

And here is the Star of the poll. To my surprise it's a Blue head one. Fingers crossed all the good feedback about them is true

Mine was good with aptasia. Then decided all corals were yummy. Then decided he would be a pill and ticked off every fish in my tank. Just annoyed them. Even managed to get my marine betta to chase the crap out of him. Would never get another. Great as a little one, when he grew he became a problem!

So far he's sticking to picking at the back wall. Snails must be messy cleaners

They will nuke your aptasia then everything else in the cnidarian family.

oh boy :grimacing-face: im in exactly the same boat. mine gets shipped out tomorrow to head my way. i didnt realize hes gonna clean me out totally! but i so sick of dealing with aiptasia

The odds are 50/50
I heard stories from successful and devastating experiences.
Fingers crossed.

Looks like the poll needs an all of the above

Ive heard good and bad. I also need one. The only thing coral related in that tank is Kenya Trees and a crap ton of aiptasia.

Had one (not "blue-head").

Ate prepared food - anything I threw into the tank. (Yay!)

Ate Aiptasia. (Yay!)
Ate Majano. (Yay!)
Ate SPS. (<sigh>)
Ate Duncans. (<sigh>)
Ate Zoanthids. (<sigh>)
Ate LPS. (<sigh>)
Ate Softies. (Y'know what ... )

I have a different butterfly now. It's silver-white with orange bars and a big ocellus on its dorsal.

I liked the Klein's, as a fish.

I like the new butterfly better, even though it only eats pods, probably Aiptasia, when it can find one, and whole mussels in the shell.

i thought the blueheads were ok.. well ill let you know shortly i guess! i hope they dont like gonis or bubbles or.....

I've heard good things about the blue-head Kleini butterflies. If he doesn't work out, I can personally recommend the pyramid butterfly. I've had one for three years now - model citizen, eats everything I put in the tank, and he eats aiptasia. I've only ever seen him nip at a single coral in his three years in the tank, a really nice acan that I was able to rescue and put into my other tank before too much damage was done. Other than that, super active, very chill, and absolutely gorgeous.
