Kole tang super skinny

Guys i'm happy to report that the Tang ate the moment i fed him. He hasn't touched the nori or the mysis but he ate the black worms. The worms didn't have the medicine in them but he ate. I believe some of the medicine has to be in the water column so he has to be getting some of it. I see him getting getting better but at a slow pace. Thank you guys for all your advise and input. I really appreciate it

Keep trying to feed him the medicated food. ;)
And just like that he took ma turn for the worse. He was laying under a rock almost motionless. My 6 year old pointed it out to me. I just put him in the QT and dosed it with Prazi and metro. Don't know if i made it in time. He was so lathargic i got him out of my 55g tank with my bare hands. Is there anything else i can do? @Humblefish @melypr1985

@jpontier212 I'm trying to remember, but didn't you have a disease in your DT awhile back? Possibly velvet? Just wondering if something might still be lurking in your tank.

It was in the QT my orange spotted goby and my first male snowflake clownfish and a striped blenny died in my QT. All the other fish are actually fat. My Maroon clownfish,2 yellow damsels, Coral beauty and striped goby are all super healthy

I don't think he's going to make it through the night. He's is the laying in the bottom of the QT and barely breathing. I keep putting my hand in there and forcing him to move. No quick moves from him but hopefully the medicine will get in his system and bounce him back.

Don't mess with him sweetie. It wont help him and will only stress him out. I know your concerned for him, but forcing him to move around isn't the best plan. Let him rest and see what happens. You've done what you can for now. :)

I know metro can be used in a dt. If it's just metro needed you could dose the dt. But since u have him in qt id leave him be.

Thanks Melypr1985. I feel so bad that he's doing so bad. I was actually going to leave work early to care for him maybe i should've took him out of the DT sooner. But since he ate, i thought he would be ok. I just hope all my efforts helps him through. He's really a pretty fish

sounds like flukes to me, you've had this fish awhile. They are a slow killer but when the fish has lost so much weight it doesn't take long. If he dies (hope he doesn't) put his body in some fresh water see what comes off.

^^ This. If he does die, drop the body in tap water and see if tiny white specks come out of the gills within 5 mins. If they do, I recommend using Prazipro on your entire DT. My motto is don't let the loss of life go to waste, if something can be learned from it that will save others.

Nicely put humblefish!

I woke up this morning to him floating on the top of the QT. Tragic

I'm sorry to hear! Try freshwater dipping to see if anything comes off. Easiest is in a black container to see the white flukes or ich or velvet on the bottom
You wouldn't be able to see ich or velvet on the bottom but flukes you should if it's a dark enough bucket

Thinking Bout it 4ford is right. I was thinking of something completely different. U should see flukes. I have like a 12"x10" by 8" little acrylic box and it has a clear black bottom which i would see white specs on the bottom but it slipped my mind that that was dipping coral not freshwater dipping fish. (Gibs slap to back of head)
