In theoryEasier to make as many connections as possible and then paint. But “yes”. Also don’t over spray the ends where the connections will be, and just sand a bit to make it easier.

I was thinking of painting the entire length of pipe but am concerned that the paint would prevent the glue from making a strong bondEasier to make as many connections as possible and then paint. OK thanks everybody for the infoLike Jon said just don’t spray your connections and you’ll be fine. Either tape off the ends or dry fit all of your fittings then paint.
