Kschweer: 57 rimless build

Lol. It's a strip of led's I have mounted to my t5 fixture. It adds the "pop" led's are known for.
Oh haha! Well looks good man, I need to get a bigger nice tank. Was thinking of the IM lagoon

I love looking at the tank with just the reefbrite.

I would love to get a Reefbrite! That is really beautiful. Do the Reefbrites come with different options or are the all the same and you program it to how you like it? I'm not very familiar with led's yet.

They come in a few different options. The tech light which is what I run (all blue) and the XHO which is more powerful. They come in all blue or a 50/50 white and blue. Mine are controlled by a simple light timer. Mine are run as supplemental lighting, t5 is my main lighting.

Thanks! I also run T5's, but would really like to add a reefbrite, I like the shimmer affect of the LED's, do you get that with yours?

To an extent. When it's just 2 blue+ and the reefbrite you can notice it quite a bit. It does get washed out a good amount when all 6 bulbs are running but you can still notice a bit.

Thank you, that is good to know! If I ever get to upgrade my tank I would like to get a combo T5/LED fixture. That possibility is way down the road though! Thanks again!

I love my ReefBrites! So much "pop"! Pics looks sweet you need to give me some pointers[emoji39]
Thanks dude! I agree they're great lights. As for pictures nothing special at all. I turn off all flow and use my cell phone (iPhone 5, my 6 took a swim in a koi pond) with a gel filter. The hardest part was finding the right color gel that captures true colors. The one I use is more brown as opposed to the orange ones I see most people using.

Cool! No matter how I white balance I still get a purple tint from my ReefBrites instead of blue.

That's strange. Wish I knew more about photography, maybe one day. I get jealous looking at some of the amazing photography on here. Lol

Tomorrow I'm hoping to find some time to build an electrical cabinet to house controllers, power switch and if I get brave enough a dosing pump. I'm a bit nervous about leaving the dosing up to a piece of equipment, but I think manually dosing once a day is letting things swing a bit too much for my liking. I'm very tech illiterate so that has me a bit nervous as well. Hopefully all goes well.

Dosing pumps are the way forward - you can dose 10x a day, so little and often, which helps with stability. I use the Jaebo and in happy with it so far.

Glad to hear it! A friend of mine switched to a reactor and gave me his jaebo doeser. Hopefully I can figure it out.
