Basically if you get Metro, Kanaplex, Furan 2, Focus. You can cover bacterial infections and Brook if that’s what that is. White clownfish make it hard to see skin abnormalities.

I know, right? I was told to look for white spots for Ich, but even if he had it I don't think I could tell lol

I’m pretty sure it’s not ich or velvet but brook starts off looking like slight sunburn as the skin starts to lift and slough off.

Okay I am ordering these now. Which of these do I mix together? Metro, kana, and focus, plus food? Then just dose the water with furan 2?

Just wanted to post an update. My fish has gotten a whole lot worse! I just got the medicine today and began treatment. He is in a very small QT tank now. Hoping for the best!

Can you get a better pic?

Sorry your little buddy is so sick. But keep in mind the meds don't actually cure; they give the fish's immune system "time" to heal itself. So it's up to its immune system now.

Have you started the antibiotics yet? Do you have acriflavine on hand or can you get it? (Ruby reef rally or API fungus cure both contain it) I would get the fish into a 90-minute bath, and quickly... to try to get ahead of the infection. Then continue with the antibiotics in QT.

In addition to what @ngoodermuth stated, the API fungus care is usually available at all of your big box pet stores. Most LFS that carry salt water supplies have the ruby reef rally. Either way, a 90 minute bath in either will help a ton. Then it is back to the QT for the remainder of the antibiotics treatment.

I did start the antibiotics. So, should I use tank water with the medicine dissolved in it for the 90 minute bath? Or do I need different water conditions?

Since the tank already has medications running, I would just mix up a little clean saltwater for the bath. Just make sure you aerate the bath for at least 20 mins prior.

Agree, that’s a pretty advanced infection.

Infections are slow to “cure” in fish, I hope the little guy makes it!

Thanks! Aerating the bath now. Heading to pick up the medication. Does it say on th package how much to put in? Probably, but I don't know if the medicine is meant for a 90 minute bath or if I'd need a different amount for this length or of treatment.

I'm doing everything I can, but I feel like his chances are low :(

I don't disagree, but I have seen some AMAZING comebacks over the years! The acriflavine dip will increase your chances dramatically!

If you get ruby reef rally, the dosage is 5ml per gallon. The API fungus cure comes in packets, dose is usually one packet per 10 gallons, so for a 5-gallon bucket I'd use roughly half a packet. It's pretty mild, so you can estimate half... I wouldn't worry too much about being exact.
