Lasers 1000+ Inwall Starfire

Computer speakers have been installed and hooked to apex for lightning sounds during storms. I have multiple sound files downloaded onto a ipod that runs a continuous rap of music. When the storm outlet is on the speakers then are powered for a full effect!

Here is side shot of the sump as well as pic of leds for liverock filter in sump area installed.
Also hooked up 1000gallon rated Vertex Skimmer for temporary use until Bubble King comes in from Germany. Pretty impressed so far with this skimmer.

Still need to hook up a Metal Halides onto new pivot light rack, hook up Litermeter III for auto water changes, add blue led to sump to be ready for frag section, Kalk reactor and auto water top off.
I will be going to Abiline this week to meet with Tyree and get 2 300 gallon upright water storage containers that he is no longer using. I will then make a water station similar to the current one in use on the 225 QT while incorporating a fill line to tank with new salt to be pumped for routine water changes. So much still to do but the automation process is well underway!

This is a very impressive and very well planned tank build. You definitely need to upload a video of the storm effects once you are farther along. I'd love to see the lightning effects.

Do you remember which model cam you went with? Any pros and/or cons? The tank is looking sweet!!
I went with 2 of the Foscam 8910's simply because they were known to work at the time (little over a year ago or so) with the APEX dashboard. Believe I paid around 100 for both as a package on amazon. That being said they work great. I want all the latest gadgets asap but these cams do a great job and no need for HD cam for me. Only drawback to them is they have no zoom so must be placed at correct distance..I will be moving my cams from the garage door opener to under the sump for a close up view of water levels. I then plan to get 2 more and place on each side of tank directly up against glass for a full side view.

The woodworker finally:faint2: sent me some update pics of the structure he is building. He will now be here Friday or Saturday for final install of the 2 sections.

Water change assembly has begun. Two 300 gallon upright vessels will be incorporated. Not sure which pump I will go with as will have to pump 5 feet up and about 15 feet to sump. Plumbing will be done as soon as a pump is chosen. I will have one container used for RO and one for mixing salt for water changes. I will then add another 50 gallon or so top off container that will feed the tank for evaporation. I use the smaller container to eliminate a large dump of RO water when pump fails.

x2 - Gotta see a video of the storm sequence!
Will get a video when all programming is done. Lightning with the new Hydra52's is very impressive. Trying to figure out virtual outlets to refer to lightning (controlled by Apex module) and when speakers come on. Hope that is somewhat clear.:squigglemouth:

Tank paramaters are now in check and tank is cycled. I have moved a few zoas and piece of old yellow scroll into the sump and they are fully open with only white LED light in sump area now. I will try a piece of SPS this weekend and watch for a few days. And then let the stocking begin...:amen:

OMG soo many gadgets and whistles.
This is making my tank look like child's play.
The speakers are a nice touch and the Logitecs have great sound.
Any idea on build cost soo far?

This is a dream build. If your thinking money then your awake...........lol
Laser is building my fantasy tank......lol
