I still can't wrap my head around 300gal being a 30% water change...
Also why are you doing water changes every month?
My 100 is packed full and with dosing I don't have to touch it for months.
Your tank is practically empty still. Just practicing or what?

I have just had success with this method in the past and continue to get good coloration and PE with my SPS. It is also not a big deal to do a water change after the system was designed for such. Only hassle is to manually dump salt into the 300 gallon mix reservoir.

Salt is ordered by the pallet and dropped off in garage. The bags mix 200 gallons each. Each pallet comes with 36 bags.

I will be repainting the epoxy on the garage floor where the 225 frag tank used to be.(next to the pallet of salt in pic above) Getting close to completion. I hooked up the apex auto feeder and have it feeding pellets 3 times a day and the fish all are looking pregnant so I will back off the dial a bit and allow a little less food for feeding.

I suspect that even if he is not purchasing as a business he is already getting the best possible pricing.
The only thing buying as a business would really do is avoid sales tax, but that would not be legal if he was not in some way selling goods that contained or used the salt and collecting sales tax on those goods.

Amazon Prime has these for 114.89/bag delivered and another vendor has them at 112.28/bag delivered. If you are buying a skid at a time I would expect that you should be getting something like $60-80/bag delivered to your fish room...
