Mine has never touched any type of food. He has no interest in the algae I want him to either. He just picks at films on the rocks and glass.
As a last-ditch effort, you can attempt to force feed your fish food and/or meds if you think it is a starvation issue:
Feeding meds using a syringe
I hate to recommend this since I've never tried it myself, and it's obviously not a long-term solution, but your blenny looks in rough shape. Might buy you time to find something he will eat on a regular basis.
Is there a better chance of him eating these if I put him in a separate container/QT?
Skimmer should provide enough oxygenation, much better than air stone.Updated with basic test results, working on more obscure ones now.
Chemicals added recently:
* Dispersed some reef roids for corals 2 days ago
* One slightly weaker than recommended dose of vibrant 6 days ago
I only run a basic skimmer and some filter floss in sump-no special media or chemicals.
my initial thought is a swim bladder issue
I agree sometimes this may happen how are the other fish in the tank looking?Sorry, I just got home from work, so chiming in late here. In the video, I didn’t see rapid breathing. The fish has a pinched belly, but I’ve seen worse. My first thought that the fish was moribund from disease or lack of food. The more I watched the video though, I’m more inclined to agree with the OP that it is some neurological/damage issue. It tries to swim, but just sort of drags along. That said, no cure for that....

that is possible but the hawkfish did not even notice the blenny but again a lot can happen when the lights go outUsually Flame Hawks and Blennies don't go well together. At least in my experience.

Sorry about your blenny dude. Worst part of fish keeping. I've lost 3 Lawnmowers, all to different causes.
Best thing, I think, is to quarantine new fish in a tank with a lot of structure where they can feel safe, no other fish to pester them, and get them to eat. Observing them for a month so you know they are well and eating gives them a better chance when you put them in the main tank. Thanks man. I am still very new to this hobby and this would be my third loss so far so I feel like I am doing something wrong even though I’m trying to be diligent :-/ that may just be the nature of fish though
