So I have been tossing the idea around for a while now I switching to LEDs I just wanted to stick with tried and true T5HO when I set my tank up since I already had a fixture laying around. Now that I have been reading around about them more and more I think I ready to pull the trigger. I am just unsure which fixture to choose. I have looked at a ton of them and even briefly considered DIY, but I would rather get something with a warranty. My tank is the JBJ rimless 30 gallon AIO. No spa for me mainly zoas and LPS. I have been all over the spectrum in price as well from the Radions to the JBJ unibody. Suggestions anyone?

I have two of the non-dimmable versions of these over my 120 with no issues on growing corals. I had an issue with one light fixture going out and 2 weeks later I had a replacement over my tank:

SWC Skimmer would also ask thejoshdavis where he got his LED's from as they are really nice for the money.

If it were me, and I were to do it all over again, I'd make a T5/LED hybrid... I like the look of both LED's and T5's though....

I just ordered from rapidled. Their customer service was great for me. They have a dimmable or standard fixture that has an 18 month warranty. One would probably be enough for your tank and they are around $300.

Im going to order the onyx dimmable leds from them next month.

A fool knows you can't touch the stars, but a wise man still reaches.

Yeah I have seen a lot about the rapid led stuff. Will look further into this. Is the price of the Radions really justified? I figure the price was so high because of all the extra features.

They definately have features but with controller can simulate some of them with the diy kits. I was going radion but the price made me decide otherwise after thinking about it. I can stock tank and get lights for what the lights cost.lol

See that's what I was thinking. Been eyeballing a marineland 70 cube and a deep blue 80 frag tank. Passing on the Radions frees up funds for that.

Here is where I got mine at http://gbgreensun.en.alibaba.com/productgrouplist-213300327/Dimmable_120w_LED_AQUA.html

They are Chinese, but I've been very happy with them. They also have programables and a few others.

I am using a Reefstar. It is sold on my local forum, the guy Kenny is really nice and loves to help with the setup, it covers a 24x24 area and is just under $300. Uses 1w LEDs mainly blue and white that are dimmable, it also has 4 red and some sweet moonlights.

Those look nice especially for $199. Do the colors blend well though? I have seen some fixtures where you see lines of blue, lines of white, lines of red etc.

The color is VERY nice actually. He runs 2 on his tank and they are perfect. If I had to get more I would probably go with those revive.

I would definitely say the Ocean Revive Arctic LED fixture is worth the money. I got one last week and Im going to use it for a 40 breeder setup in the next couple of weeks.

They don't last as long as leds.
