LEDs?

If you read my thread, I mounted mine exactly 12" above the water surface and have good coverage on a 18" x 60" x 23" deep tank. You may need to go a little higher to get the same coverage depending on your tank dimensions.

That shoud get you good coverage. I know with their leg kits the lights are only about 6" high so coverage is not very good which is why I kept my canopy and raised them higher.

Those leg kits look like they suck. Barely off the top of the water

I would love to do this

Very nice!!! I should put my light that way instead of across on my tank?

because your tank is 24 wide by 48 you may want to consider it. I feel youd get a nice spread mounting them in the same direction as mine and it allows for another unit to be added with minimal effort. just slide the others over and slide a new on in:wink:

Would you stay with the ai sol blues or get 2 hydras instead on this tank? I haven't even used the sols yet. They are still in the box!
