Hey fellas.
I’m interested in seeing Bree different colours everybody is pulling out of Walt disneys acropora.

these pieces tend to change greatly from tank to tank, mine is mostly pulling yellows and traces of pinks and greens in the flesh. Picture posted below.

i keep it in 350-375 PAR, lighting set up is XR15s with T5 hybrid using Blue+ bulbs
Dosing 2part and Ab+

calcium 440
Alkalinity 8.3
Mag 1400
I try to keep my No3 at 5-10PPM but sometimes I forget to dose and it dips lower.
po4 I try to maintain 0.05-0.08 but again sometimes forget to dose and it dips lower.

Curious to see your pieces, feel free to post perams!

ALK - 7.5
CAL - 450
MAG -1350
Phosphates - 0.15
Nitrates - 15
Salinity - 1.026
Temp 78 - 80

Love that teal stag!

Know what im
Really liking so far, that you guys are running nutrients…

locally theirs so many people that think nitrate and phosphate are the enemy.

This one is in my DT, under blues

And were all right around the same ballpark, that amazes me.

Yeah! Pretty neat tbh.
I have a local friend who keeps ULN and he’s always complaining about pale colouration..whenever I mention the lack of nutrients his justification is that he’s dosing trace elements and aminos but evidently not enough.

I’ll convince him to stop starving his sps some day!

some of the brightest acros I’ve seen have come from tanks people would deem “to dirty” but really if you’re giving the specimen everything it needs and alkalinity is high enough to counter the nutrients theirs really no problems with nutrients…always come down to stability with these glorious specimens.

I also dose trace elements and amino acids on top of the high nutrients. As long as phosphate doesn't get crazy high, you're good. Easier to fall into danger level nutrients when you run a ULNS in my experience than it is to burn everything with high nutrients. Struggled for a long time to keep nitrates around 5 and phosphate at .04 and killed more stuff that way than anything else I've done to my tanks lol. Some of the stuff I grew from tiny frags in my DT with 50 nitrate and about .1 phosphate. Under daylights. Every tank is different though.
