May I ask a question, I know you said this is a custom. I just received my SS60 (stock version). The three (3) drain inlets appear much shorter in yours. Was that a custom request??

I was concerned reading you want drains only going in a few inches under water. The Bashsea stock version seems to have those extender pipes pre built in and look a little to long I think.

Just curious if you had asked for them shorter on purposes. Thank you.

I did not honestly I just let Steve work his magic on the stuff like that, I didn’t even realize that till you brought it up. I was more into the size and making sure it had enough features like probe and line holders. Thank you for bringing that up!

Actually, I hadn’t taken off the paper wrapping yet (nice touch in shipping and packaging). On second look, mine don’t appear as long as I thought. Given sump will be half full (?), they will only go into water a few inches.

Have you set yours up completely?

@The Camaro Show and I thought mine was big! Wow, that thing is a beast. I purchased the SS 48 x 15 x 16 and love it, beautiful sump and it's working great so far on my new setup. Here she is when I first got it sitting on the stand;

Just about ready to be installed into the stand;

Thank you! I really like the lids on yours!

Thank you, I cut them myself. My first time cutting acrylic like that so there was a learning curve and they aren't a perfect fit but close enough.

@The Camaro Show can you tell me if you can fit dual return pumps? I was looking at ordering the signature series but I’m concerned I can’t fit the dual COR20’s

I can get 2 various 8 in my SS60 (barely). Dimensions for Bashsea Sump appear spot on. Return pumps could not have inlet screen (those dimensions not accounted for in specs for return pumps).

I just picked it up, I will have to mod it to fit 2 COR20’s. Hopefully no bubbles get through from cutting out that divider

I had to mod (mutilate) by beautiful sump as well to fit my oversized skimmer. Dimensions for Bashsea does fail to mention the euro brace dimensions. But I only had to cut through a inlet circle hole on side. Good luck to you!

I cut it out with a zip saw and it was easy, I decided on not doing a fuge this time around so I’ll just put skimmer in first compartment and hope bubbles don’t make it to the return

I'm jealous! Trying to get these guys to work with me on a custom. Like pulling teeth to get any traction here!
I had asked for a custom quote, to widen a standard SS60 by a few inches, it was double the price! I just went with the standard SS60.

That's the crazy thing about customisation. I think companies that are smart about manufacturing, design and processes can customize in a wide range without suffering huge costs. Unfortunately for us many of these guys out there came up with some great designs and became companies without having first been manufactures knowing how to be great at dynamic engineering to order manufactures.
